Description
Inspiration for Music from Waterfall and Nature
Poem written by Su Shi (蘇軾) of Northern Song Dynasty, titled "Qin Poetry" 《琴詩》
Roughly translates to:
If you say the music came from the instrument Qin, why can't I hear melody when it is in carrying case?
If you say the fingers produce the sound, why can't I listen to your finger perform in the air?
It implied a successful performance or achievement often takes seamless collaborating effort from multiple parties.
Calligraphy written in semi-cursive script by River Han
若言琴上有琴聲,放在匣中何不鳴?
若言聲在指頭上,何不於君指上聽?
Combines calligraphy and painting "Figure - 9" with similar theme.
